They say hindsight is 20/20. Back in the day, I would go all out for my game day parties. Now? Now I’m older and wiser. Meaning: I don’t have the time to spend all week prepping the most Pinterest-y game day party ever. I’m lucky if I have time to brush my hair before everyone arrives these days. Ok, that may be a bit dramatic, but the lack of time does prevent me from going all out. Plus, I hate to sound rude but…no one really notices. I mean, they’ll notice, but they’re not going to ooohhh and ahhhh over it for the entire game. It’s not the point of the party. But here’s the thing. The food? The food still has to rock. Why? Because food and football go hand and hand. So, if food is so important, but there is no time to put a lot of effort into it and catering is too expensive, then what?
No, this is not a sponsored post. I just really really really love Trader Joe’s apps. They’re quick, easy, and fantastic!!! I mean, I’m pretty sure they taste better than my homemade stuff, and I’m a pretty good cook (I will never admit this in public)!
Now, here’s the thing. Sometimes, they don’t look at pretty as they do on the box (I know, nothing does) or as nice as something homemade. Example:
Does it matter? Maybe, maybe not. You could always try to dress up the table a little to compensate…? Actually, now that I’m comparing the box to the final product, I’m beginning to think I didn’t bake the pastry pups long enough…ignore that. Never mind. Nothing to see here.
