Nationwide NBA News

Dwayne Wade hit an incredible game winning shot last night. He ran down the court with pure energetic fun. His teammates congratulated him and Erik Spoelstra couldn’t hold in his excitement:

“I gave him a huge hug in the locker room as soon as we broke the huddle. I couldn’t even wait. I bear-hugged him…His raw, genuine emotion after the play, [it’s] my favorite [game-winning shot] that I have seen him hit. After 16 years in the league, just that raw joy is what it’s all about.”

The NBA is proposing lowering the draft age to 18. I really don’t think this is wise. If anything, the age needs to go up. The players aren’t developed enough yet. Talent doesn’t override age for many players, and I think this would only help a few people. Imagine high school programs evolving even further to accommodate NBA scouts. These players will not only use their college education, but now their high school education would be at jeopardy.  DUMB

Andrew Miracola broke the world record for consecutive NBA-distance threes in a minute with 31. His form is ridiculous. Watch the elbow. Watch the ref who raises his arms Every. Single. Time. Watch the foot shuffle. Watch the video.

Who’s the best player in the game right now? Anthony Davis thinks it’s him. He told USA Today  “I feel like I am there…I am there. In my mind, that hasn’t changed. [I am] the best player in the league.”

I’ve talked about Dirk Nowitzki before. He’s a classic! When asked about his recent surge in playing time and how his role has shaped his thoughts on the future, Nowitzki did not commit to an answer. However, he also didn’t deny the possibility of an NBA-record 22nd season come 2019-20.

Should NBA fans continue to be allowed the luxury of courtside seating? Russell Westbrook thinks not after an incident where a child sitting with his father put his hands on Westbook.

“He hit me…so I told his dad, ‘be careful man you can’t have your son just hitting random people. I don’t know him, he don’t know me. So I just let him know…’ You just gotta control your kids. It’s that simple, watch the game, have fun, enjoy.”

He added that there is too much leeway for the fans to be able to touch the players and get away with it, “Touching to me is off-limits. There’s got to be some type of rule or some type of boundary set that you can’t allow that.”

Honestly, he handled this situation very well. I agree with him! Professional athletes are flying around on the sideline. Someone would easily get hurt, so that kid is lucky Westbrook was playing attention.
