Who is Brad Wanamaker?

Bradley Wanamaker balled at a Roman Catholic High School (shout out Catholic school) in Philadelphia and played college ball at the University of Pittsburgh before traveling to play in the EuroLeague. He went undrafted in the 2011 NBA draft, then split the 2011-2012 season between two Italian cubs and returned to the USA to play for the Austin Toros. He’s highly decorated with honors from his basketball career, such as All-EuroLeague Second Team, 2x Turkish League All Star, Turkish Finals MVP, Geman BBL Champion and MVP, NBA D-League Champion (2012), and much more.

On July 2nd this year, Wanamaker signed a 1-year contract with the Boston Celtics.

This is my favorite part about writing about basketball: I just wrote a whole paragraph of facts and if you were genuinely interested in Brad’s life, or just patient enough to read through them, you probably now wanna know, what the heck can this guy contribute to the Celtics?

Brad is here to take over Shane Larkin’s role. He’s gonna be Boston’s fourth guard behind Irving, Smart, and Rozier. Remember how injury ridden the Celtics were last season, and how crucial it is to have a backup for the backup’s backup. However, Larkin was about 5’1” and Brad comes in at a sturdy 6’4”. He’s a lot more physical of a player and seems to want to prove that he deserves his spot in the NBA, so I think we’ll see some aggressive play action.
