In Which I’m Going To Call The Series In Favor of The Bucks

Can I say it? Can I just go ahead and say it?

The Bucks are heading to the Finals this year.

Yes. I know that they’re only two games into the series and while the Bucks are up 2-0, anything can still happen. And—this is important—the Raptors are a very worthy team of playing in this series. But the Bucks, the Bucks have a little more oomph in them. And they also have slightly more talent that gives them just the slightest edge over the Raptors. Here are a few other reasons why the Bucks are heading to the Finals:

  • The Bucks know how to set the tone and they know how to set it early in the game. Friday night’s game is a perfect (PERFECT!) example of this. Giannis Antetokounmpo had two dunks early in the first quarter which led to a 64-39 lead heading into the half.
  • The Bucks are all over the ball, always. Their fantastic defense is really making things difficult for Kawhi Leonard. Don’t get me wrong, Kawhi is still playing well, but he’s working hard with zero help from his bench…
  •  …Speaking of the bench, the bench is going to cost the Raptors this series. Where is Kyle Lowry? Gasol? Kawhi Leonard cannot carry the entire team against the Greek Freak. It’s just not going to happen.

Maybe…maybe the Raptors will play a better game tonight. Maybe they’ll force a game five…maybe even a game six. But I very much doubt the Raptors will win the series.
