Buzz Bulletin: The NHL Tik Toks, Tom Brady Splits, And…

Tik Tok Isn’t Just for Cute Dancing Babies and “Slap Happy” Phil Collins’ Fans

Tik Tok is also how a few NHL players have been entertaining themselves during the Covid-19 shutdown. One in particular player being Brendan Gallagher of the Montreal Canadians.

Gallagher has the best Tik Toks (is that how kids say it, tik toks?) of…well…all of Tik Toks. Case in point:

Tom Brady Is Doing a Lot of Splitting These Days

Tom Brady didn’t just split from the New England Patriots this offseason, he also split from his pants during Sunday’s “The Match: Champions for Charity” golf game.

In the 48-hours since the Brady split from his pants, I’ve heard a couple of fantastic puns but Brady’s own pun split itself away from the other puns…pun intended…I’ll stop now.

On another note regarding the “The Match: Champions for Charity” golf game – $20 million was raised for Covid-19 relief efforts!

Maybe NFL Players Should Tik Tok? It might Help Prevent Another Day Like Last Saturday…

When not one, not three, but four (4!) players were arrested. Those four include Cody Latimer (Washington), Quinton Dunbar (Seahawks) and Deandre Baker (Giants), and Ed Oliver (Bills) who were all arrested on May 16th.

The charges? They range. Latimer, for example, was arrested on multiple charges after a poker game went south for him, including the illegal discharge of a firearm while Oliver was arrested for DWI. Dunbar and Baker? Well. Well. Both have been charged with armed burglary for allegedly steeling $50,000 in cash as well as jewelry and other valuables from folks at an illegal dice game…while armed with semiautomatic guns. Minor detail, that last one.

And Finally – Sports! They’re Coming Back!

Well…probably…soon. Probably.

Both the NHL and NBA announced plans over the last few days regarding plans and/or discussions on a comeback. Both leagues seem to be leaning towards forgoing the rest of the regular season and moving straight into some form of playoffs. Whatever they do, I’ll take it! I miss sports!
